Syncing your Reolink camera with Amazon Alexa devices such as an Echo Show is super simple
Integrating your Reolink security camera with Alexa can take your home security setup to the next level.
With voice control and smart display capabilities, Alexa makes monitoring your home easier and more efficient than ever – meaning you can essentially use devices like the Echo Show as a security monitor.
Guide: How to view security camera and video doorbell footage on your Amazon Echo devices
By linking your Reolink camera to Alexa, whether that be an Argus Track, the flagship Argus 4 Pro or even an older model like the RLC-811A , you can use voice commands to check live footage, receive notifications and alerts, and even stream video to compatible Alexa devices like an Echo Show 8 or the Echo Hub, or even on a Fire TV.
Whether you’re checking on your front door, monitoring the baby’s room, or keeping an eye on your backyard, this hands-free solution can help you keep an eye on what matters most to you.
In this guide, we’ll walk you through the step-by-step process of adding your Reolink camera to Alexa, ensuring you can get the most out of your smart home security system.
One thing to note, especially if you’re using Reolink because you want to keep your security camera footage local, is that you do need to create a Reolink account and stream over Wi-Fi to make the most of the Alexa and Reolink integration.

- Open the Reolink app
If you haven’t already created a Reolink account, do so now as you’ll need one to access the ‘Cloud’ section which is where you’ll find the ‘Smart Home’ option that you need to access.
- Choose the Reolink camera you want to sync to Alexa
You’ll see your Reolink cameras listed once you’ve tapped on ‘Smart Home’ as detailed above. Simply tap the ‘Enable’ option next to the camera to make it visible to Alexa.
- Enable the Reolink Alexa Skill
Search for the Reolink Skill within the Alexa app and then choose to enable it. You’ll then be asked to link your Reolink account. Once you’ve done this, run discovery to find your enabled Reolink cameras.
- Configure your Reolink cameras in the Alexa app
You’ll be able to give the cameras different names and assign them to groups. All Reolink cameras that you have synced will show in the camera section of the Alexa app.
The above step by step guide gets you up and running with your Reolink camera and Alexa, and will let you use voice commands to check on a camera’s status or stream footage to an Echo Show.
However, there’s much more you can do once you’ve synced Alexa and Reolink, such as creating Alexa Routines based on motion detection, or using your Echo smart speakers as doorbell chimes.
