It was back in 2023 that Amazon first took Eero down the Wi-Fi 7 path with the staggeringly fast, but also staggeringly expensive, Eero Max 7.
But now there’s a much more affordable option to get your Eero mesh Wi-Fi system on board with the latest wireless standard, by way of two new entries: Eero 7 and Eero Pro 7.
Sitting below the Max 7 in the Eero hierarchy, but above the Eero Pro 6E and the Eero 6+, the new Wi-Fi 7 duo make multi-gigabit speeds more accessible and will future-proof your home network for years to come.

Starting with the Eero 7 (pictured below), which is $30 more than the 6E at $169.99 for a single unit, and it’s is a dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5GHz system, delivering wireless speeds up to 1.8Gbps and wired speeds up to 2.3Gbps if you use the 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports on the back.

A single Eero 7 can cover up to 2,000 square feet, with the option to expand coverage using additional units.
The Eero Pro 7 (main image, above) steps things up with tri-band support (2.4, 5, and 6 GHz), pushing wireless speeds up to 3.9Gbps and wired speeds up to 4.7Gbps thanks to its two 5 Gigabit Ethernet ports.
A single Pro 7 unit, which is around half the price of a Max at $299.99, also covers 2,000 square feet, with a three-pack extending coverage to 6,000 square feet and supporting over 600 devices.
Both systems feature Eero’s proprietary TrueMesh, TrueRoam, and TrueChannel technologies to optimize performance, reduce congestion, and improve network reliability.
They can also act as smart home hubs, acting as Matter controllers and Thread border routers, and there’s also Zigbee connectivity too, making it easier to integrate with the likes of Philips Hue through Alexa.
As is always the way with Eero, they are both backwards compatible too, you’ll be able to get the new Eeros singing and dancing with your existing Eero kit, although you’ll obviously lose some features and speed if you mix and match with older generations.
The Eero 7 costs $169.99 for a single unit, with a 2-pack priced at $279.99 and a 3-pack coming in at $349.99.
The more powerful Eero Pro 7 comes is $299.99 for one, $549.99 for a 2-pack, and $699.99 for a 3-pack.
Pre-orders are available now, with official availability beginning 26 February in the US, UK, Italy, France, Germany, and Spain. Canada will see the new models on 26 March, while launches in Australia and Japan are expected later this year.
Wi-Fi 7, in case you didn’t know, is the next generation of Wi-Fi, hot on the heels of Wi-Fi 6 and 6E and, while there aren’t many devices in your home that will make use of it now, it’s a surefire way of future proofing your home network.
