CES 2025: Smart home energy system goes live at Las Vegas expo
EcoFlow has used CES 2025 to take the covers off of EcoFlow Oasis; an AI-powered energy management system designed to redefine how homeowners approach energy usage, storage, and sustainability.
By leveraging real-time data and using artificial intelligence, the Ecoflow Oasis system promises to give users tailored recommendations to optimize energy storage, prepare for power outages, and reduce electricity costs.
The system integrates with EcoFlow’s portfolio of power back up gadgets, both portable and whole-home – such as the excellent Ecoflow Delta 2 Max for the former.
Using inputs such as historic energy consumption, local utility rates, solar energy production, and weather forecasts, Oasis promises to deliver actionable insights and automations, such as ensuring batteries are charged ahead of severe weather or shifting high-energy appliance use to stored solar power during peak pricing hours.
For users, it’s all made super easy to use thanks to a natural language processing capability.
You can say things like “How can I maximize my solar energy usage today?” and the system will not only provide actionable advice but can also implement those suggestions with user permission.
As well as the native compatibility, it also works with third-party systems like Shelly and is Matter compatible as well.
EcoFlow also used CES 2025 to reveal plans to introduce a grid-tied solar battery solution in the US later this year.
Dubbed the EcoFlow Ocean Pro, this system will enhance energy capacity and leverage the Oasis smarts for smarter bill savings and more reliable backup power.
EcoFlow is also showcasing some new tech over in Vegas, including a new Power Kit System, which offers expandable capacity up to 45kWh for RVs and remote living; the Rapid Series, EcoFlow’s debut in magnetic power banks with wireless charging capabilities; and the quirky yet practical Power Hat, a solar-powered wearable that can charge two devices simultaneously via USB ports.
