Google has made it even easier to change the voice of Assistant, with the roll out of an updated app.

The app randomly ties Google Assistant voices to colours, which you swipe through to browse the selection. The colours are randomly generated from Google's color palette, so there's no gender re-enforcing stereotypes here.

What's more, there's no natural gravitation towards male or female assistant voices either – and the order of the list will be different user-to-user. You just swipe through and choose the voice you like the best.

The update is rolling out for US users for now – and we understand it's cross platform. When it does go worldwide, you'll only get it if you live in a country treated to multiple voices. To check if you have the option, go to Google Assistant > Settings > Preferences > Assistant voice.
