LG has launched its newest line of intelligent washing machines in the UK, with the VX700 and VX900 models combining cutting-edge AI and an intuitive design.
The VX700 and VX900 washers look pretty slick with their minimalist design and are available in matte black, silver, and white, so you should be able to find one that suits your kitchen or utility room.
Equipped with LG’s AI Direct Drive (AIDD) technology, the VX series use data from over 2,000 washing patterns to detect and optimize cycles based on fabric type and load size.
This AI-driven approach, LG informs us, means each wash is tailored to provide the ideal care, extending garment life and conserving energy.
You can also download extra washing cycles from LG’s ThinQ app directly to the washer to match specific laundry needs.
The ThinQ app also allows for remote control over cycles, energy monitoring, and maintenance updates.

Another nifty feature of the VX700 is the ezDispense system, which automatically calculates and dispenses the correct detergent amount based on load size, ensuring fabrics are washed with precision while minimising detergent waste.
Up top there’s a touchscreen LCD dial that further personalises the laundry experience by adapting to usage patterns.
LG’s TurboWash technology means a complete wash cycle takes only 39 minutes, while using 39% less energy than traditional cycles. The 360-degree water spray system ensures thorough cleaning, while LG Steam technology provides an added layer of care, eliminating 99.99% of allergens, making it ideal for households with children or sensitive skin.
For those concerned about environmental impact, LG has introduced a new care cycle that reduces fabric friction during washing, resulting in up to a 60% decrease in microplastic release.
Both models are now available through Currys, John Lewis, and Marks Electrical, with prices starting at £829.99, with various capacities ranging from 8kg to 13kg.
