Libratone has launched a new pair of Alexa-powered Bluetooth speakers in the US – the Zipp 2 and Zipp 2 Mini.

The pair are the first Alexa speakers from Libratone – but there’s a lot more going on here. As well as voice control via Alexa, there’s also AirPlay 2 on board, for seamless connection from iDevices including the Apple Watch. That also means voice control of your music via Siri (from your Apple device) for those who just love voice assistants - and AirPlay 2 is set up from within the companion app.

In terms of speaker quality, the design offers 360 Fullroom sound (which unsurprisingly pushes out music in all directions) as well as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, which you’ll need for that AirPlay 2 goodness. It’s fully wireless and you’ll get 10 hours of playback on a single charge.

The Zipp 2 and Zipp 2 Mini will be available in North America from 13 March. The beefy Zipp 2 costs $299 while the Zipp Mini is $249.
