Lifx has officially launched its first-ever smart lamp, the Lifx Luna, with availability set to begin on 24 March.
Originally unveiled back in January at CES 2025, the Lifx Luna will be available exclusively in store at The Home Depot, and you can also pick it up online from Amazon.
Costing a penny shy of $70, the Lifx Luna brings the same vibrant color technology that Lifx has pioneered into the awesome SuperColor Ceiling light, but in a more compact, versatile form factor that you can stick on a desk, nightstand or anywhere else you want some smart light action (it can also be wall mounted.)
With 26 controllable color zones and up to 1000 lumens of brightness, the Luna can create both immersive lighting effects and cozy ambient glows.
The Luna also boasts built-in device-binding tech, which allows its four physical buttons to control not just the lamp itself, but also other Lifx or Matter-enabled smart home devices; effectively acting as smart buttons, even without the need for an internet connection.
Lifx has long been a major player in smart lighting, but the Luna marks a significant expansion; it’s hard to believe that this is the first ever smart lamp from the Feit Electric owned brand.
In the early days of the smart home revolution, Lifx was a real contender to Philip Hue’s smart light dominance, with its range of Wi-Fi bulbs.
The company went into a bit of a hibernation around 2020, however, with very few launches arriving.
In the past year or so, following Feit Electric acquiring Lifx assets from Lifi Labs in 2022, the brand has come back from the wilderness with a range of new smart lights including a new outdoor range, the SuperColor Ceiling light and the slick looking Polychrome Tube.
We’ve got both the new Luna lamp and the Tube in for testing, so stay tuned for our full reviews, which will be hitting the site soon.
