Philips Hue, the smart light specialist, might be about to expand its product lineup with the launch of its first-ever video doorbell.
While there hasn’t been an official announcement from the Signify-owned brand yet, a respected tipster has suggested that a Philips Hue video doorbell could be hitting the market in 2025.
According to Fabian from HueBlog.com, who has a solid track record with Philips Hue leaks, it could be released as early as this autumn.
Back in August 2023, Signify took the covers off of the Philips Hue Secure cameras, which formed part of the new Philips Hue Secure smart security system along with some contact sensors.
The addition of a video doorbell, therefore, makes sense as the company continues to build out its range of smart home security products.
While details are still scarce, Fabian has suggested that the device would feature a camera at the top and a bell button with an LED ring below.
A Philips Hue video doorbell would obviously integrate with the existing Hue ecosystem, offering features like remote control via the Philips Hue app and connection to other devices for triggered actions.
We’ll be keeping an eye out for any official announcements and will update you as soon as we know more.
