Chinese smart home specialist SwitchBot has taken the covers off of its latest creations: the SwitchBot Air Purifier and the SwitchBot Air Purifier Table.
The latter, as the name suggests, doubles up as a table and also adds wireless charging and RGB lighting to the air purifying mix.
It was actually on show last year at IFA 2024 and got a quiet release back in October but we’re told that was just a soft launch for the company’s existing user base.
The pair are now widely available, with the SwitchBot Air Purifier costing $220 / £239 and the SwitchBot Air Purifier Table coming in at $270 / £299.
Both models boast a Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) of 236 CFM (400 m³/h), meaning they can clean a 215 sq. ft. area in just 7 minutes or up to 1,800 sq. ft. in an hour.
They feature a HEPA filter that removes 99.97% of airborne particles, including pet dander, dust, pollen, and smoke.
There’s also an activated carbon filter for removing pet odors and a pet filter that claims to remove 93.45% of pet hair.
The SwitchBot Air Purifier Table, as mentioned, adds some nifty extras: wireless charging for smartphones (Qi standard) and RGB lighting with 10 customizable color options. It also has a waterproof surface on top, making it a handy side table.
Both purifiers operate at an ultra-quiet 20dB, making them suitable for bedrooms or offices. They work with the SwitchBot smartphone app for easy control and monitoring of air quality, filter status, and more.
While there’s no native Alexa or Google Home integration yet, we’re told that Matter support is coming later this year, via the SwitchBot Hub, so you’ll be able to get them singing and dancing with your smart home ecosystem of choice.
They’re both available now from Amazon, or directly from SwitchBot’s website.
