Matter support has been added to Ultion's Nuki Plus smart lock
One of the best smart locks on the market has been upgraded to include Matter support, making it more versatile across a range of smart home platforms.
The Ultion Nuki Plus smart lock was already smarter than many of its competitors, offering compatibility with Apple HomeKit, Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa among others, but the addition of Matter support gives it the capability to work across these platforms too.
What is different about the Ultion Nuki Plus Matter Edition smart lock?
In addition to Matter support, the upgraded Ultion Nuki Plus smart lock – which is being differentiated as the Ultion Nuki Plus Matter Edition – will also come with a new 3-star Euro Cylinder lock with a feature called Lockdown Mode. This mode is triggered if force entry is detected.
Elsewhere, the Ultion Nuki Plus Matter Edition can be installed in a few minutes like its predecessor, and it not only works with the various smart home platforms out there, but it works with apps including AirBnB and Ring too.
There’s built-in Wi-Fi for remote access, a rechargeable USB-C battery and it’s possible to issue digital keys to friends and family, as well as anyone else who you might need to give access, like a builder or cleaner. You’ll also be able to see a log of when they enter and leave your property.
The Nuki Plus Matter Edition smart lock is available in a black or white finish. It’s only visible from the inside of the door so it won’t change the aesthetic of your home, and no drilling or wiring is required to install it.
You can pre-order the Nuki Plus Matter Edition smart lock from 19 January for £379 at Ultion. There are a range of accessories available for it too, including a Wireless Fingerprint Keypad, Bluetooth Key Fob, Ultion KeyTag with Apple FindMy and external handles.
It’s worth mentioning that if you have the previous Ultion Nuki Plus smart lock, you might be eligible for an upgrade special offer if you contact Ultion directly. For those unsure how important Matter is and will be for the future of the smart home, you can read our Matter guide to get you up to speed. We’ve also got a Matter devices guide.
