And snaps super close-ups for you
If keeping an eye on your pets while you’re away from home with a pet camera isn’t enough, you can now make sure they’re drinking enough.
The Pawbo Spring – from tech giant Acer – is a smart water fountain, that can track how often your pet visits. It holds three litres of water and has three-layer filters to make sure the water is clean for them. It’s suitable for cats and dogs, with a sloping design that makes it accessible for all sizes.
While this may feel like overkill – and it certainly is, most dogs will happily drink out of dirty streams – there are some useful applications. You’ll be notified if your pet isn’t drinking enough, which is really useful in the hotter weather, and when the water needs refilling.
What’s more, the Spring records their hourly, daily and weekly drinking patterns, which can offer insights into their health, and if you have multiple pets, you can pair the system with the iPuppyGo pet tracker to get personalized reports.
And those who love to check on their pets will be relieved to know there’s a built in camera, if you want to get super-close-ups of your furry friend swilling back its water.
The Pawbo Spring will launch “soon” for £175.
