Started with the robot vacuums, now we're here
Roborock has announced the arrival of the H1 smart washing machine and dryer, as the company expands beyond its current range of smart vacuums.
The unit only appears to be landing in China for now, with Roborock currently offering it at a discounted rate of 5,999 CNY (around $875 / £720) before a rise to 7,299 CNY (around $1,050 / £875) after 20 March.
Owners will be able to choose from the H1’s 25 washing and drying modes, with the latter including the ability to harness low-temperature air circulation to protect delicate materials such as silk and wool.
A smart algorithm also helps keep drying cycles efficient, with the H1 automatically able to detect when clothes are fully dry, Roborock says.
Like many of the company’s vacuums, the H1 is also self-cleaning and can be controlled through either the Roborock companion app or the device’s touch panel.
The drum can also handle a fairly hefty amount of clothing, with up to 12kg of laundry able to be thrown in during wash cycles and 7kg for drying cycles.
Available in either black or white, the H1, as we say, is currently only available in the company’s native China – and there are no indications just yet that it’ll reach the US or Europe any time soon.
Stay tuned for more details, though – if the company’s robot vacs are anything to go by, this could be one to watch if you’re in the market for a smart washer-dryer.
