With only a few days to go until the October Amazon Prime Day sales begin, it’s as good a time as any to start putting together your shopping wishlist, with the hope of grabbing a few bargains.
One brand we really do think should be high on that list is Yeedi; one of the robot vacuum cleaner companies that has really impressed us during testing in the past year or so.
Robot vacuum cleaners have become an integral element of the smart home, helping manual cleaning become a thing of the past by delivering a hassle-free, automated experience.
Yeedi’s robot cleaners take all the effort out of keeping your house looking fresh. They’ll suck up dust, mop your floors and head back to their charging station when running low on battery.
They all work with Google Home and Amazon Alexa and there’s a great Yeedi smartphone app, meaning you get full control in the palm of your hand.
Yeedi Vac 2

There are two models in Yeedi’s second-generation range, the Yeedi Vac 2 and Yeedi Vac 2 Pro, both of which offer a fantastic 3,000Pa suction rating.
They combine classic automatic vacuuming with a mopping feature, and each holds a reservoir that can be filled with water to cover a larger area of flooring without needing a top-up.
A top-mounted camera and the 3D obstacle avoidance sensors work out the boundaries of rooms, and where insurmountable objects like table legs sit.
This map is naturally used in future cleaning runs to help it navigate more efficiently around your home, but there’s more to it.
You can view the map generated by the vacuum in the companion app on your phone, and use it to specify the rooms — and even areas within rooms — you want the vacuum to cover. This new generation’s 3D obstacle avoidance system is 10 times as effective as its predecessor’s.
You can also label parts of the room map as suitable, or unsuitable, for mopping to save any carpets from getting wet when the cleaner is set to mop, rather than simply vacuum.
Yeedi Vac 2 Pro

The Yeedi Vac 2 pro goes one step further, with a carpet detection sensor. You can set it on a mopping cycle without worrying about getting your rugs and carpets wet. The sensor is also used to increase suction when the yeedi vac 2 pro is vacuuming on carpet, in order to pull more dirt out of the pile.
The Pro model benefits from Yeedi’s new oscillating mopping system too. This moves the mop pad at 480 oscillations a minute, which is five times faster than you’d typically achieve mopping by hand, to work tougher stains out in no time.
This upgrade is a must-have if your home has a lot of laminate, wooden or hard flooring, on which the mopping mode should be particularly effective.
Switching to the mop program only takes a few seconds. Simply pull out the sweeping module from the back, fill the reservoir with water, wet the mopping pad for best results, and then pop the module back in.
The Pro model has a significantly larger battery, with capacity of 5200mAh rather than 2600mAh. While the base Yeedi Vac 2 will still last up to a solid 110 minutes before needing to head back to its charge station, the 240-minute stamina of the Vac 2 Pro will be hugely beneficial for larger homes.
Both models have a function that lets them automatically resume a larger home clean after a charge, but a longer run time means the Yeedi Vac 2 pro is more likely to get the whole job done without such an interval.

If you don’t fancy the small amount of manual work required from a robo mopper – i.e. cleaning the mopping pads and filling the water tank regularly – then the Yeedi Mop Station Pro is the model for you.
This self-cleaning station automatically washes the mopping pads every 10 minutes to keep them clean and dries them when cleaning completes.
It boasts a pair of 3.5 litre tanks – one for clean and one of dirty water – and the two mopping pads boast 10N force and spin 180 times per minute to loosen and wipe off even the most annoying stains with ease.
It’s not all mopping though, there’s still a 3,000Pa suction and 750ml dust tank on board the cleaner too.

The Yeedi Vac Station, like its Mop station stablemate, is designed to make your life easier.
