Floodlights, batteries, extenders and more unveiled at Amazon's event
The Blink Outdoor 4 camera was rolled out in advance of Amazon’s big September event but there was plenty of love for the new security cam with a range of accessories unveiled at the Virginia showcase.
The most notable of which, IMHO, is the new Sync Module Pro, the latest system hub that’s here to supercharge your Blink Outdoor 4.
This 3rd-gen Sync Module boasting a fancy new proprietary wireless protocol to extend the range of the Outdoor 4 camera way beyond what your Wi-Fi can muster.
The Sync Module Pro also packs a MicroSD card slot so you can keep your video clips safe and sound right on the module itself.
It’s priced at $49.99 and is coming to the US and Canada early next year
Next up is the Blink Outdoor 4 Floodlight Camera, which is technically a new product, but you can just buy the floodlight part if you’ve already snapped up an Outdoor 4 already.
Boasting a powerful motion-triggered LED floodlight, we’re told that the 2-year life span of the Outdoor 4 remains, which is impressive.,
Up for pre-orders now in the States, it’s $159.99 for the full setup or $39.99 for just the Floodlight Mount accessory.
Finally there’s the new Blink Outdoor 4 Battery Extension Pack that can be configured to stretch your camera’s battery life to a whopping four years (based on default settings).
The extra power also lets you amp up your clip recordings, engage in more two-way chit-chat, ramp up the resolution, and boost night vision brightness.
Again, you can pre-order now and it’ll cost you $29.99. Shipping for both the Battery Extension Pack and the Floodlight stuff is all slated for mid-October.
