CES 2024: Mega vacuum system unveiled alongside other new Ecovacs goodies
Ecovacs and Roborock traditionally like to go head-to-head at CES and 2024 is no exception, with the Chinese robo cleaning giants landing some serious blows with their new launches.
While Ecovacs can’t quite match the 10,000Pa suction of the new Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra, the new Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo is Matter-compatible, like its rival, and boasts a unique feature we’ve not yet seen from a high-end robo cleaner.
The Combo part of the name is because, on the auto-empty dock, there’s also space for the accompanying handheld vacuum cleaner.
The result, Ecovacs informs us, is a ‘whole home vacuum system’ where every room in your house, including stairs, on and below furniture, and even your car, is covered.

The Deebot X2 Combo system comprises of the Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni, a robo-cleaner originally launched at Ecovacs’ August global event last year (with new Matter smart home skills built-in), a handheld vacuum cleaner and an all-in-one base station, which not only collects dust from the two vacuum cleaners’ bins when docked but also offers advanced mop cleaning, using hot water for mop washing and hot air for drying.
With a distinct square shape, the Omni X2 boasts an Ozmo Turbo 2.0 mopping system, mop lifting capabilities, an industry-first embedded navigation system for greater range of motion, fast mapping and faster response times, and True Detect 3D 2.0 for precision obstacle avoidance.
Both the Omni X2 and the handheld offer an 8,000Pa suction rating.
More CES 2024 launches

Ecovacs also took the covers off of the Winbot W2 Omni robot window cleaner over in Vegas.
An upgrade to the 2018 original Winbot, the W2 now comes with a base station so you can move it around your house more easily and features a revamped Win-Slam 3.0 navigation system for consistent edge-to-edge cleaning.
The final big launch from the Chinese-brand at Vegas was the awesome looking Ecovacs Goat GX 600, a robotic lawnmower that doesn’t need a boundary wire.

Using some of the tech from the successful Deebot cleaner range, the Goat GX 600 has AIVI 3D obstacle avoidance technology and comes with an outdoor charging station that serves as its homebase.
The Ecovacs X2 Combo will be $1,599 when it is released in late Q1. The W2 Omni will be available in early Q2 (price TBC), and the Goat GX 600 is also still price-TBC, but we do know it will land in the US in the Spring.
