New lineup includes connected outdoor grill, robo cleaner, air purifier and more
Over in Palma, Spain, SharkNinja has used its first-ever EMEA Launch Event to take the covers off a barrage of new devices.
Split into four categories across the 2 brands; Shark Clean, Shark Beauty, Ninja Kitchen, and Ninja Outdoor, the launch bonanza included 20 new products for the EMEA region, with 3 brand new global launches.
Starting with the Shark Clean category and, in a move designed to take on the likes of the Dyson Big&Quiet, the Shark NeverChange 5 air purifier has been revealed.
The name refers to the fact that you’ll only have to change the filters once every five years or so. So, not never exactly, but that’s a long old life for a filter.
Next up in the Shark Clean category is the Shark FlexBreeze Fan, a nifty-looking fan that’s designed for both indoor and outdoor use.
I know what you’re thinking, that there’s already an outdoor fan – the wind – but the FlexBreeze is designed to be used outdoors on those ever-increasing heat wave days where it’s too hot to venture outdoors.
Plus, you can attach your garden hose to an attachment (pictured above) and spray a fine mist in the air too.
Designed to be both a table top fan and also a pedestal too, you can just pop the top part out and it can run off of batteries for up to 20 hours.
The new Shark Matrix is a follow-up to the Shark ION and while it won’t worry the likes of Roborock or Ecovacs, it will no doubt be a cut-price robo cleaner that also comes with an auto-empty dock.
For Ninja, the launch event has been used to unveil the brand’s first connected cooking tech; the Ninja Woodfire Pro Connect XL Electric BBQ Grill & Smoker (main image, up top) and the Ninja Prochef Connected Thermometer, both of which use the new Ninja connected cooking app to help you get your meat just right.
Also on show from Ninja was a clever innovation in the air fryer space, with the Double Stack Air Fryer going live.
Offering a similar cooking capacity to its current market leader, the Foodi FlexDrawer, the Double Stack takes up 30% less counter space by putting the cooking drawers on top of each other rather than side-by-side.
Finally, a 2024 tech launch event wouldn’t be complete without a mention of AI, and for Ninja, this comes in the form of the Ninja Detect Duo Power Blender Pro, which detects what’s inside its tank and blends as it thinks is best.
