On show at IFA 2023 alongside the new Deebot X2
Every so often, while treading the boards of the soulless back halls of the Messe Berlin, IFA can give you a little surprise. A little something that puts a spring in your step.
At IFA this year, for me, that moment happened when I stumbled across the Ecovacs Airbot Z2; a multi-functional air purification robot.
That’s right, it’s a mega cute robot that zooms around your house, making your air quality better.
Look at it, just look at its little face (does it have a face?)….
The Ecovacs Airbot Z2 was actually announced at the Chinese brand’s global event earlier in August and, while there are no concrete plans to launch it outside of China at present, my Ecovacs-man-in-the-know tells me it could get an outing in the US in January at CES 2024, so hopefully we’ll hear more about a western world launch then.
Because who wouldn’t want this little guy zipping around the house, cleaning the air as it goes with its 5-stage deep purification system?

It has the Yiko voice assistant built-in, activated by saying ‘OK Yiko’, and it also captures live video as it goes around. Because why not eh?
Also on show at the Ecovacs IFA 2023 booth was the Ecovacs Deebot X2, another machine launched at that August global event.

With a distinct square shape, combined with advanced machine vision, it looks like being a super-high end robot vacuum cleaner.
Again, it’s China only for now but we hear a September US launch announcement could be on the cards.
