IFA 2022: The company's ecosystem just got a huge injection of gadgets
Ezviz has pulled back the curtain on a slew of new smart home gadgets, including its first-ever robot vacuum cleaner.
The company used the showroom floor at IFA 2022 in Berlin to show off its new wares in smart cameras, door locks, and home security, but it’s the RS2 robot cleaner that’s the most noteworthy of the announcements.
With Ezviz often offering its smart home devices at the budget end of the scale, the RS2 could provide a neat, affordable option for those looking for automated cleaning – and perhaps even undercut the likes of Eufy and iRobot’s entry-level devices.
The price tag for the RS2 isn’t yet known, but we do know it features plenty of the bells and whistles you’d typically expect from a robot vac, such as AI detection capabilities and automatic switching between mopping and hoovering.
As we say, the RS2 unveil is far from the only new bit of Ezviz kit showcased at IFA, as well, with the company also debuting its first ever smart door lock (designed to fit over your existing deadbolt), a battery-powered baby monitor and a peel-and-stick home sensor kit.
There was also room for a battery-operated outdoor pan and tilt, the Ezviz HB8, which joins the company’s growing list of cameras with deeper smart home integration.
It’s not yet clear just when all of these new Ezviz products will become available, but we look forward to testing them out over the coming months.
