You want color? We've got color. Plus a portable light switch…
Smart lighting specialist Signify (of Philips Hue fame) has released a new range of Connected by WiZ smart lighting products, aiming to offer greater convenience around their homes.
If you’re after extra pools of light around the house, then the WiZ Mobile Portable lamp (pictured below, £79.99) and Bar Linear Light (pictured above, £44.99 for single pack, £79.99 for dual pack) are worth checking out.
The Portable lamp offers limitless combinations of soft light and color gradients, and has a dual-zone design that allows owners to choose two different light colors and create a gradient ombre effect.
Tested, rated: The best smart lights
It lives up to its Portable name with a carry handle allowing you to take it with you as you move around the house, is voice controlled and also features a touch panel allowing you to choose pre-set modes and dimming features.
Meanwhile the Bar Linear Light is slim and easy to fit into small spaces, ideal for running along the back of a shelf or sideboard. You can even connect two together for a longer lamp. The Bar also offers a range of lighting colors and can be tilted to adjust the angle.
To light up a bigger space, choose between the Rune Ceiling Light (pictured above, £129.99) and WiZ SuperSlim Ceiling Light (from £49.99).
The Rune offers a combination of quirky style and colorful substance and can be adjusted from a cool white light to a cozier warm setting, and it also features a full-color ring light projected up to the ceiling.
The SuperSlim Ceiling Light can flood a room with cool blue light when desired – ideal for during the day when you need to concentrate – and then dims down to a softer warm light, perfect for relaxing with your family.
For ceiling lights with a touch more direction, there’s the Imageo Spotlight Square (£134.99), which has four easily-adjustable spotlights offering full color and plenty of power.
You can also choose from a selection of new Philips Smart LED bulbs to go in your lamps, including the Full Colour P45 (£14.99) and High Lumen A80 (£27.99), which is equivalent to 150W of light.
And for ease of use controlling them all, Signify has unveiled the WiZ Portable Button, a super-simple device that enables you to switch your smart lights on and off even when your Wi-Fi is down.
The Button communicates directly with your WiZ lights without your router, and can be mounted on the wall or stuck to any metal surface (the fridge, or a side of a filing cabinet in your home office, say) with the embedded magnet.
WiZ lights work with your existing Wi-Fi router and are easily controlled from anywhere using the WiZ app. New WiZ products are available now in the UK.
