Great news Deezer free users... you can now link your non-premium Deezer account with your Google Home smart speakers.

The move, which follows the likes of Spotify Free on Google Assistant speakers, means that you can now get access to your Deezer tunes and Flows without paying a cent.

Of course, you will still have to listen to adverts, but you do get get six skips an hour. Playlists will also be set to shuffle mode with the free access, but that probably won't be a deal breaker for most.

Deezer Free on Google Assistant smart speakers is going live right now in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain, the UK and the US.

To get started simply makes sure your Google Home app is fully up to date and do the following...

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Tap Media then press Music (under Manage your system).
  3. Choose Deezer.
  4. Sign in and sync up your account.

Your Google Assistant DJ, whether you're on a native Nest speaker, or a third-party Google smart speaker, is capable of playing music from a variety of sources such as Pandora, Deezer, Spotify and YouTube Music - but you can ensure it always chooses the platform you like the best by using those steps above.
