After Eve already used IFA to debut the second generation of the Eve Room, the company has now announced its foray into lighting and power, with the Eve Light Strip and the Eve Power Strip.
The pair will be joined by a European version of the Eve Light Switch, with all three of the new smart home devices built for compatibility with Apple HomeKit. With the Light Switch, which is already available in the US, this means users are now able to control their lighting through the power of Siri, their iPhone, HomeKit rules or device schedules in the Eve app.

However, the Light Strip and Power Strip are the new additions to the family here. The former, shown off below, follows on from the Eve Flare lamp released back in May, letting owners light up their homes with pre-installed scenes and their own colours. The 2m LED strip (which can be extended to a length of 10m) beams out white and colour at an output of 1800 lumens, using Wi-Fi to connect to user’s phones for control.
As for the Power Strip, shown below, this allows for control of up to three devices through a single outlet. And while any power socket design is unlikely to give anyone the vapours ‚ÄĒ this might literally be the dullest area of tech design imaginable, after all ‚ÄĒ it is more attractive than your standard 'dumb' options, coming in a black housing with an aluminium frame. Device schedules for each outlet can be created and managed in the Eve app, too, as you might expect.
However, while both the new European Eve Light Switch (available for ‚ā¨99.95) and Eve Light Strip (available for $79.95) will be launched at a ‚Äúlater date‚ÄĚ, there‚Äôs currently no pricing or availability hints for the the Power Strip.
If we’re taking a stab at when it will eventually launch, it could be as late as CES in January. We’ll be looking to clear up exactly when the other pair will be available to place in your home while wandering the halls of IFA, too, but expect a launch in time for the holiday season rush.
